Sustainable use of local natural and human resources, production and sale of high value-added products, job creation and dissemination of knowledge and know-how on hemp farming and processing.
The village of Velký Horeš (SK) will reconstruct an old unused school building with a total floor area of 565.72 m2 and its adjacent land. This will create space for product presentations and the organization of professional events, which will introduce the results achieved by Hungarian partners to Slovak companies and private entrepreneurs. The intention is to initiate and support their active participation in the regional development of the hemp industry.
The municipality of Karos (HU) has a property with an area of 0.7229 ha. At this site, the construction of a public community area and a production hall with an area of 400 m2 will take place. A closed cultivation system with an area of 300 m2 will be created: a varietal experimental research station for the maintenance and propagation of varieties suitable for cultivation purposes. The operation is handed over to an economic operator by the local authority through a tender, and the operator should use it exclusively for hemp processing.
