MAIN GOAL: The main goal of the project is the construction of a cross-border road between the villages of Veľký Horeš (SK) and Nagyrozvágy (HU)
The villages of Veľký Horeš and Nagyrozvágy are bordering, neighbouring villages. They are approximately the same size, they have the same ethnic composition, the same character and their people have strong bonds with each other. Until the end of World War II, they were united by a paved road. At present, only a massive body overgrown with grass and bushes remained of the road. It is impassable, except for the heavy agricultural machinery. Their residents must make a detour of 21 km to the nearest border crossing. Reconstruction of this road will improve accessibility and shorten the distance between the villages to about 4 km. Furthermore, cross-border cooperation between the two municipalities will be intensified, tourism could flourish, and the path to take for visiting acquaintances and relatives, shopping etc. will be shortened.
